Day 11 - Quiet Day in Dublin, Shannon's of the Green and Riverdance

Our last day in Dublin and our last day of vacation was decidedly quiet. We wandered around the city checking a few shopping centers, ducking into shops as the rain started and stopped. We took a final walk town Temple Bar to the hotel and played a game of Uno in the study before getting ready for dinner. The went the American route for dinner, which was fitting since it was the 4th of July after all. We ate at Shannon’s on the Green which had a bar called the Oval Office with memorabilia from many American Presidents on the walls. After dinner we had tickets to Riverdance and were heading down the empty streets to catch a cab after the show when we heard the city burst into cheers. The Germany vs. Italy game of the World Cup was being played... and Italy had scored in the final minutes.
