Day 2 - Princess Rail, Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge & Jeff King's Dog Sled Camp |
Six hour train ride to Denali Princess
Wilderness Lodge at the foot of the Denali National Park. The trip was
supposed to take four hours but a fire on the train made for a two hour
stop at a road crossing so the local firemen could cut into the exterior
wall of one of the cars and put the fire out. The night was spent visiting
the homestead of three-time Iditarod Dog Sled Race champion Jeff King. |
